Can Spray Foam Save your Pipes?

Frozen Pipe Spray Foam Insulation in Kansas City by KC Spray Foam

Pipe Spray Foam Insulation in Kansas City

Freezing pipes are a major concern for many homeowners. Depending on the location, some of the pipes in your home may be more prone to freezing than others. Pipes that are exposed, pipes in unheated areas, pipes on exterior walls, or any plumbing on the exterior of the home may be more likely to freeze than other pipes in your home. While different precautions may be taken to protect outdoor plumbing and pipework, one way to prevent the interior pipes in your home from freezing during the cold winter months is to invest in spray foam pipe insulation from KC Spray Foam. We are proud to serve the Kansas City, KS area with quality spray foam insulation services for all areas of your home, including your pipes.

Any time that the pipes in your home are located in unheated or exposed areas and the temperature drops to below freezing, the water inside the pipes may freeze, causing the pipe to become blocked, and possibly even to burst. This is especially common in pipes that are located in the attic, crawlspace, and exterior walls. The cold Kansas City winters can cause these pipes to freeze and fail. KC Spray Foam can help to prevent freezing pipes with spray foam insulation to protect the pipes and insulate your home against the cold weather outside. Spray foam insulation can help protect your pipes in the following ways:

Insulating Your Metal Buildings - Spray Foam Is The Answer

metal building spray foam

Insulating Metal Buildings Using Spray Foam

Spray foam polyurethane can provide excellent insulation and weatherproofing for metal buildings. This type of spray foam forms an integral bond with metal building surfaces and conforms to irregular surface and provides an effective air seal. Spray foam can be applied to both the interior and exterior of metal buildings. This is the best method of insulating a metal building. The traditional fiberglas is not capable of providing a complete air seal or vapor barrier. During humid weather, metal buildings sweat. The moisture will damage the building and can create mold and mildew behind fiberglas insulation. For your metal building spray foam needs, contact KC Spray Foam.

The team at KC Spray Foam has the experience and products needed to insulate your metal buildings. Making sure the right method is used for insulating metal buildings is important. These buildings are susceptible to condensation created by outside temperatures. Sealection 500 and Heatlok Soy200 are ideal products to insulate metal buildings. These products are made by Demilec, the leading manufacturer of spray foam insulation.

Customer Service: Subcontractors Chance to Shine

After recently changing my cell phone provider it came to my attention how bad Customer Service is in most industries (including construction and with subcontractors). When I called my old cell phone company to find out what the buyout was on my cell phone, I was immediately transferred to a “retention specialist.” After several minutes of questions of why I wanted to cancel my service, I finally got a buyout number. I told the “specialist” that I understood he was doing his job, but he got quite pushy with me. The first thing that came to my mind was that if he was an employee of my mine he would be retrained or let go.

This got me thinking of how we handle our current and future customers. What are we doing right and what can we do to change to improve ourselves?

Why KC Spray Foam over a Spray Foam Kit?

Professional Spray Foam Solutions from KC Spray Foam

Why is Professional Spray Foam better than a Spray Foam Kit for your Kansas City home?

When it comes to home insulation, spray foam insulation is definitely the best choice. Spray foam seals out air and moisture, keeping your home well insulated in both the cold months and the warmer months. Spray foam insulation will also help strengthen your home and prevent mold growth, which can cause serious health issues for you and your family. Spray foam insulation, however, is a job that is best left to the professionals. If you are in need of spray foam insulation in your home, do not try to handle it yourself; contact one of the professional insulation installers from KC Spray Foam as soon as possible.

Although there are several DIY spray foam kits available today, it is still best to have a professional spray foam expert install your spray foam insulation. First, spray foam can be very demanding to apply; if the instructions on the DIY kit are not followed exactly, the spray foam may not work properly. While applying spray foam, you cannot take long pauses, as any interruption longer than about 30 seconds will cause the spray foam to clog the spray nozzle, requiring a new one to be put on.
